Gemini is Google's family of AI models and the assistant built on them. Our coverage follows two things: the newest model, and the places Gemini turns up outside Google's own apps.
Gemini 4 Argon, announced on September 30, 2026, is available only to cyber defenders in Google's Fairwind Program and a group of trusted testers. Google lists $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens at launch, rising to $4 and $20 after an introductory period with no announced end, and its lead on the DeepSWE v1.1 benchmark is Google's own measurement. Paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers come next, Google says, without dates.
Elsewhere, Gemini is one of two models, with xAI's Grok, behind the federal America.gov chatbot launched on September 29, 2026. It is also the assistant in Samsung's Android XR glasses, which an unnamed Samsung official told The Korea Herald go on sale in November.
