Battlefield 6 Game Pass access begins on Tuesday, October 13, for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, about a year after the shooter's October 2025 launch. It leads Xbox's first October wave, announced on October 7, alongside Valor Mortis and Deep Dish Dungeon the same day. Two days later, on October 15, nine games leave the catalog, including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and A Plague Tale: Requiem.
Key takeaways
- Battlefield 6 arrives on October 13 on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud, in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only, according to Xbox's October wave 1 announcement. Premium and Essential are not listed.
- Those are the two plans that include EA Play, and EA Play members can claim a Deployment Pack and a Season 5 EA Play Pack. Xbox hasn't said what either pack contains.
- Battlefield 6 Season 5 starts the same day, October 13, according to MP1st's report on EA's announcement.
- Nine games leave Game Pass on Thursday, October 15. Xbox's catalog page says members can save up to 20% if they buy a game to keep playing it.
Battlefield 6 Game Pass: which plans get it
Xbox lists Battlefield 6 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud, starting October 13. Premium and Essential members don't get it in this wave.
The split matches EA Play. Xbox's Game Pass plans page lists EA Play as included in Ultimate and in PC Game Pass, and not in Premium or Essential. Xbox's post doesn't spell out that Battlefield 6 comes through EA Play, so treat that as our reading, but the perks it lists are EA Play perks:
- EA Play members can unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack.
- They can also claim the Season 5 EA Play Pack and earn recurring seasonal rewards.
- Ultimate members get EA Play included plus 10% off eligible EA digital purchases.
Cloud play has limits worth knowing. As of October 9, the same plans page lists cloud playtime for Ultimate at 15 hours a month and says cloud gaming is not included with PC Game Pass. So on PC Game Pass, you install and play Battlefield 6 on your PC.
What's included and what isn't
Xbox's post doesn't name an edition. When the game launched on October 10, 2025, EA's launch announcement described a nine-mission campaign plus multiplayer modes including Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush and Escalation, at US$69.99 for the Standard Edition. The US$99.99 Phantom Edition added cosmetic extras such as a Phantom Squad soldier skin pack, two weapon packages and a vehicle skin. Since Xbox names no edition, don't count on those extras coming with Game Pass.
Season 5 starts the same day
The Game Pass date lines up with Battlefield 6's second year. MP1st reports that EA announced Season 5 for October 13, with Vegas Strip and Area 51 among its three new maps.
EA's own Season 5 community update, from September 30, says two of the three Vegas-themed maps arrive at launch and the third later in the season. It also lists Rapid Royale Solos and Trios for the REDSEC battle royale from the start of the season. GamingBolt mentions an upcoming Dead Space event, but EA hasn't detailed its dates or rewards.

The other two October 13 games are new releases. Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike from the makers of Ghostrunner, in which you rise from death as a former soldier of Napoleon's army. Deep Dish Dungeon is a dungeon survival game with puzzles, crafting and metroidvania exploration, playable solo or in online co-op.
Leaving Game Pass on October 15
If you're partway through one of these, you have until Thursday, October 15. Xbox lists nine games leaving that day:

Bottom line
If you have Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, your Battlefield 6 Game Pass access starts October 13, the same day Season 5 starts, and the EA Play packs are worth claiming. On Premium or Essential, it isn't part of this wave. Before then, check your backlog: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, A Plague Tale: Requiem and seven others leave on October 15.
