Rockstar has named the first six GTA 6 radio stations: Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics. In an announcement on Thursday, October 8, 2026, it also confirmed the series' first on-demand podcasts and a new way to keep listening on foot, through headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia's phones. The same day, a leaker posted about 25 minutes of unofficial footage; that story has its own section at the end.

Key takeaways

  • Six stations are confirmed, each with named hosts, and you can hear previews of all six on Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI music page.
  • Grand Theft Auto VI adds on-demand podcasts, a first for the series, alongside regular radio. Rockstar hasn't named any podcast yet.
  • Radio and podcasts play in vehicles or on foot, through what Rockstar calls "newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones."
  • These six are not the whole lineup. Rockstar's page says its stations run from classic rock to talk radio, and none of the six is either of those.
  • Separately, footage from a leaker called Cyberleek is circulating. Rockstar hasn't verified it, and Take-Two is using court subpoenas to find who is behind it. The launch date is still November 19, 2026.

The six GTA 6 radio stations Rockstar confirmed

Rockstar called the lineup "the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet" in its Newswire post, as 9to5Toys quotes it. Here is what it has confirmed so far, with the format and hosts from Rockstar's own station pages:

StationWhat it playsHosts
Cocoteo FMModern Latin: bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaetonEl Martillo and La Gata
Back Country RadioRenegade country for the Grassrivers and Port GellhornMW and Delta Dawne
AfroBank FMAfrican music, from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-stepBurna and Palmsy
The Chamber 106.6Classic metal from the 1980s onDJ Kerry and DJ Tom
Flash FMPop, billed as "a Vice City institution"Robyn and Alex
Dirty South ClassicsRegional rap and hip-hop classicsTrick and Trina

A few details stand out. Flash FM is a returning name: it was the pop station in 2002's GTA Vice City, and Rockstar leans on that history in its description. Cocoteo FM's tagline is "el party que nunca se apaga," roughly "the party that never stops." And Back Country Radio comes with a roving reporter and swamp meteorologist, Mud Dog Mike, who checks in from an airboat, Gfinity reports.

Rockstar lists the hosts only by first or stage names. Some outlets have named the artists they believe are behind those names, but Rockstar's pages don't confirm who anyone is, so we're leaving those identities out until it does.

What GTA 6 podcasts and on-foot radio change

The bigger change is how you listen. In earlier GTA games the radio was mostly something you heard in a car. In GTA 6, Rockstar says, radio and podcasts work in vehicles or on foot through headphones and earbuds paired with the characters' smartphones. VGC's report on the reveal singles out the earbuds and the podcasts as this game's new features.

Podcasts are the other first. Rockstar describes them as on-demand shows "for Jason and Lucia to experience beyond Leonida's terrestrial radio," per 9to5Toys. The difference from talk radio is control: a station plays whatever is on air when you tune in, while a podcast is an episode you pick. Rockstar hasn't named a podcast, a host or how many episodes there are.

Talk radio is still part of the plan: Rockstar's music page lists it among the formats. That fits what outlets reported from Rockstar's recent magazine interview: the game's political satire shows up in campaign ads, a robocall, radio commercials and political talk shows. We covered that in how GTA 6 handles politics.

What happens next

Rockstar says more music news is coming, including details on GTA 6's dynamic score, according to Gfinity. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, with 34 original tracks, is due the same day as the game, per Rockstar's music page. The game launches on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We expect the rest of the station list, including the talk and classic rock stations, by launch at the latest, but Rockstar hasn't given a date for it.

Separately: the 25-minute leak and Take-Two's response

This section is about unofficial material, and we don't link to or describe the footage.

On October 8, the same day as the radio reveal, the leaker known as Cyberleek posted about 25 minutes of what is presented as GTA 6 gameplay and cutscenes. Rockstar has not verified it. VGC reported the leak as Rockstar continues its hunt for the leaker, and GameDaily notes that nothing about it has been verified and that neither Rockstar nor Take-Two had responded as of October 8. Reports describe it in general terms as containing mature content and story spoilers. It follows the game's pulled PEGI 18 listing earlier this month as another unofficial look at what the game contains.

Cyberleek's leaks began on August 18. Since then, Take-Two has asked the US District Court for the Southern District of New York for DMCA subpoenas to Discord, covering three servers, and to Microsoft, seeking device identifiers, IP logs and OneDrive content, TorrentFreak reported. About a day later, it filed for subpoenas to X Corp, over three usernames, and to Google, over a YouTube video and three channels. These are requests to identify users, not lawsuits.

At the end of August, Take-Two sought a second, mostly redacted Discord subpoena and said its investigation is "rapidly evolving and ongoing," while the YouTube request was dropped, TheGamer reported. None of the reporting we've read says who is behind the account.

Bottom line

If you've been waiting on the GTA 6 radio stations, the confirmed part is good news: six stations with distinct formats, the return of Flash FM, podcasts and radio you can hear while walking around Leonida. Treat the hosts' real identities as unconfirmed until Rockstar names them, and expect more stations, including talk radio, before November 19. The leak is a separate story, and the footage remains unverified by Rockstar.
